Ben has designed these drawknives from his years of green woodworking experience. They are forged using spring steel and are designed to be used either free hand, with a vice or with a shave horse. They have cranked handles to enable them to be held comfortably without having to strain your wrists to get the correct angle. They are made with a much finer bevel than most drawknives and will take either a heavy cut or a fine whisper.

They come with ash handles turned on the pole-lathe and are honed ready for use. They also have a leather case to prevent the edge being damaged when not in use.

SORRY - TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE

I have designed these inshaves from my years of green woodworking  and chair making experience. They are forged by myself using spring steel.

They are made in the same style as the drawknives but they have a curved blade to allow you to clean up curved surfaces of chair seats or large hollow items. They have cranked handles to enable them to be held comfortably without having to strain your wrists to get the correct angle to the work piece.

I make them with a much finer bevel than most inshaves and have a slight flat section at the middle of the curve to allow for smoother cuts.

They come with ash handles turned on the pole-lathe and are honed ready for use.

Price: £105 or £135 with leather case Plus P+P

SORRY - TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE

These adzes are re-forged from reclaimed flat shipwrights adzes and are forged out to give a curved blade ideal for solid seat chair making.

They are not too heavily curved and are great for making shave horses and other large green woodwork projects.

I supply them without handles so that you can make your own to suit your height but I can make handles if requested.
