These leather goods are all hand made from veg tan leather, this means that they have been tanned with vegetable material, either bark or plant extracts. This gives us the ability to wet mould the leather to certain shapes or tool the leather and then when it dries it holds the shape and hardens up. This is a fantastic method for making a knife sheath as it will hold the knife secure without the need for fasteners and straps.
All items are hand stitched with saddle stitch, using one length of thread with a needle on each end, this means that each stitch has an over hand knot so if they get damaged it will not unravel like many machined stitched items.
Each item even though made to a pattern is made individually so they may have natural variations.
If multiple items are made we strive to get the colour match as close as possible, but there may be slight variation.
